WITT Conferences There have been 3 national WITT conferences, 1988, 1992, and 1994; and a national WITT conference in 1980. The last three have been women only for the first two days of looking at and framing workplace issues and personal and professional skill development to deal with these. The women are then joined by their labour market partners: employers, unions, educators and governement representatives, and the focus is on ensuring a broad consensus of understanding on the issues and implementing positive and practical solutions. A great time is had by all, and the interweaving of those with clarity on the issues and those with responsibility for dealing with those issues effectively provides for some rich exchanges.
